The CCN team is focused on establishing dignified wages for the early childhood workforce and ensuring that all families have access to affordable high-quality childcare. The CCN team is currently engaging legislators to draft a proposal, establishing a clear and permanent wage and career lattice that will be financially supported through child care assistance funding.
The childcare workforce is overwhelmingly women of color, and the emphasis on the development and implementation of policies that promote a well-educated and well-compensated workforce will have a significant impact on the economic well-being of childcare providers and their families.
