Opportunities and education for women and girls to gain access to their full economic and personal potential.
New Mexicans cannot continue to wait for this vital safety net program that most of the world’s workers have had in place for years.
We work on issues that impact women and girls around reproductive rights, economic security, and gender discrimination.
We fight for policies that lift women and their families out of poverty, including pay equity, paid family and medical leave, and pregnant worker accommodation.
And we are taking a stand to end discrimination against women and girls in the workplace, school, and the university.
Our vision is to harness the power of law, research, and creative collaborations to change the realities and injustices to create greater opportunities for women and girls in New Mexico.”
The Southwest Women’s Law Center is committed to a Reproductive Justice framework.
Not only does a Reproductive Justice framework encompass a full spectrum view of reproductive issues, but it is more reflective of the experiences and population of New Mexico. Click below to learn more about our framework.
