The Southwest Women’s Law Center (SWLC) has partnered with the ACLU-NM and the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico to provide legal information and support for the trans* community in New Mexico.
The New Mexico Human Rights Act enumerates protections for individuals based on their gender identity. This project seeks to empower New Mexico’s trans* population through information about health care access, employment protections, housing protections, and access to supportive schools.
This project is funded by the 2013-14 Pride Law Fund Tom Steel Fellowship.
